This recipe has been a family favorite for years. My sister, Connie, started making this bundt cake when her boys were very little. They could not say bundt, rather they called it “Butt” cake and the name has fondly stuck all these years.

  • 1 Cup Butter
  • 2 Cups Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • ½ tsp. vanilla
  • 1 Cup Sour Cream
  • 2 Cups Flour
  • 1 tsp. Baking Powder
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 1 Cup Mini semi-sweet chocolate Chips
  1. Cream butter & sugar – beat until fluffy – add eggs & fold in vanilla & sour cream.
  2. Beat in flour – baking powder & salt.
  3. Beat until well blended & add chocolate chips.
  4. Pour into greased & floured bundt (BUTT) pan & bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 min.
  5. Cool for approx. 20-30 min – then loosen sides with a knife & turn onto plate to finish cooling.
  6.  If this bundt cake lasts long enough, it can be frozen whole or in slices.
